Smoke School April 10-12, 2017

VISIBLE EMISSIONS EVALUATION TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION SESSION (SMOKE SCHOOL), APRIL 10-12, 2017, JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) will provide a Visible Emissions Evaluation training and certification session (Smoke School) on April 10-12, 2017. Both first-time certification and recertification in EPA Test Method 9 will be available. There is no fee for participating in the smoke school if you are a Mississippi resident, the employee of a Mississippi company, or directly responsible for compliance with visible emissions requirements for a Mississippi company. Smoke school participation is limited, but anyone interested in attending that does not qualify for free participation may contact MDEQ for information concerning cost and availability.

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS!

All participants should register online for the smoke school by completing and submitting the registration form at https://compliance-assurance.com/genericform.pdf Please note that Compliance Assurance Associates will charge $25 per student late fee when registering less than 14 days before the school.

CLASSROOM ORIENTATION FOR FIRST-TIME PARTICIPANTS ON MONDAY, APRIL 10, 2017.

First-time participants or persons holding no recent certification must attend a classroom orientation session beginning at 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 10, 2017, in the Windsor I meeting room at the Regency Hotel &Conference Center, 400 Greymont Avenue, Jackson, Mississippi.

OUTDOOR FIELD CERTIFICATION TUESDAY, APRIL 11 AND WEDNESDAY, APRIL 12, 2017.

All persons desiring to certify or recertify must attend the outdoor session which will begin at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2017 and continue on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at the Jackson Youth baseball fields parking area located at the corner of Lakeland Drive and Lakeland Terrace, approximately 1399 Lakeland Drive. Persons certified at the previous school are required only to attend the outdoor session.
