The Air Division is responsible for ensuring that air quality within Mississippi is protective of public health and welfare. The division is charged with controlling, preventing, and abating air pollution to achieve compliance with air emission regulations pursuant to the Mississippi Air and Water Pollution Control Act, applicable regulations promulgated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Federal Clean Air Act.

2014 Monitoring Network Plan

Public Notice: Draft information for comment regarding the Mississippi Certification that the State Implementation Plan for the Control of Air Pollution (SIP) is adequate to comply with the requirements of Section 110(a)(1) and (2) of the Federal Clean Air Act as it pertains to the 2010 National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Sulfur Dioxide as promulgated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). 	Permitting

	All air permitting other than acid rain is handled in the MDEQ Environmental Permits Division (EPD). Mississippi's air permitting requirements are found in MDEQ regulations:
