Yard Debris FAQs

Yard Debris

What are some things residents can do with yard debris such as grass, leaves and branches?

One of the best things residents can do is to establish a backyard compost pile to recycle grass, leaves and food waste. Another alternative is to leave the grass clippings on the lawn so the cuttings can go back into the soil as fertilizer. Otherwise, contact the community's solid waste or recycling coordinator for information on recycling and disposal of yard debris. Click here on Composting for more information.
