*The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality Permit Board proposes to reissue the statewide Wet Deck Log Spray with Recirculation General Permit. The Wet Deck Log Spray General Permit, originally issued in January 2006, covers the State of Mississippi and authorizes discharges associated with wet deck log spray recirculation systems and other de minimus wastewaters from wet deck log spray recirculation ponds. The current Wet Deck Log Spray General Permit expired on April 30, 2016. The reissued general permit will allow the continued above referenced discharges for an additional five-year period. The draft general permit can be found HERE and the public notice can be found HERE.
If you have any questions concerning the General Permit, the Notice of Intent, or the permitting process for obtaining coverage please contact Scott Hodges, Chief of the Timber and Wood Products Permitting Branch at (601) 961-5672 or by email.
